AMC Phoenix Raven Course continues strong
Tech. Sgt. Christopher Shultz, 60th Security Forces Squadron, disarms his training partner, Airman Jacob Walitzer, 19th Security Forces Squadron, during the Phoenix Rave Qualification Course at the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center, Aug. 14, 2020, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The course, which ran from July 27 to Aug, 19, qualifies selected security forces personnel to perform as members of a force protection team assigned to deploy with Department of Defense aircraft to austere environments. Students are trained to perform as teams to detect, deter, and counter threats to personnel/aircraft at deployed locations by performing close-in aircraft security and advising aircrew on force protection measures. In addition, the course prepares students to conduct/report airfield assessments and perform flight deck denial duties on select missions. (U.S. Air Force photo by Maj. George Tobias)
