Bronze Star Medal with valor awarded to security forces sergeant

MOUNTAIN HOME AIR FORCE BASE, Idaho -- Staff Sergeant Jason A. Kimberling with the 366th Security Forces Squadron was awarded a Bronze Star Medal with valor and an Army Commendation Medal by Mission Support Group commander Col. Thomas Laffey here July 19 for his actions Aug. 8, 2006 in Qalat Province, Afghanistan. Sergeant Kimberling was one of only three Americans in a Coalition tasking with the Afghan National Police and Army that was attacked.
