AFSFC Det 2 COVID-19 Safety Measures

Like the rest of the Air Force and nation our Airmen stationed at Det 2 MCAS Miramar found ways to keep themselves and the inmates safe by including a hand washing station upon entry into the facility (several throughout the facility), the temperature/questionnaire check station for everyone entering the facility, a makeshift dining facility extension in the gym so inmates can sit one per table instead of usually 3-4 per table; there are also social distance tape markings and everyone wears self-made masks.  Det 2’s mission is to ensure the security, good order, discipline and safety of pretrial and adjudged members; to retrain and restore the maximum number of personnel to honorable service; and to prepare inmates for return to civilian life as productive citizens. Det 2 operates at four locations:  MCAS Miramar, California Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, Chesapeake, Northwest Naval Annex, Virginia
